The Center for Child Protection is an Austin-based nonprofit dedicated to breaking the cycle of child abuse through advocacy, forensic services, and community education. Because the Center works directly with children and families in vulnerable circumstances, maintaining a secure facility isn't optional. It's core to the trust the organization depends on. Gardient partnered with Eagle Eye Networks, the cloud video surveillance provider, to upgrade the Center's security camera system.
The Upgrade
The project moved the Center onto Eagle Eye Networks' cloud-based video management platform, giving staff real-time monitoring, remote access, and advanced analytics from a secure, centrally managed system. Camera coverage was upgraded using a combination of high-resolution HD Analog and IP cameras to improve image clarity across the facility, and the infrastructure was designed to scale as the Center's security needs evolve.
What This Means in Practice
Cloud-based video management means the Center's facilities team can monitor the property and review footage remotely, without maintaining on-site servers or recording hardware. Upgrading to a mix of HD Analog and IP cameras improved coverage and image quality without requiring a full rip-and-replace of existing wiring, which kept the project practical for a nonprofit's budget. And because the platform is cloud-managed, the Center can add cameras or expand coverage later without redesigning the system from scratch.
